I’m obsessed with my buddy Alex Acosta‘s new remix of Carlos Gallardo & Rebeka Brown‘s hit “Feel It Inside.” Originally released in January 2012, Alex brings the track back to the dance floor with a massive big room overhaul that simply soars! #MASSIVE
THE DAILY GRIND: Carlos Gallardo feat. Rebeka Brown – “Feel It Inside” (Alex Acosta Big Room Mix)
THE DAILY GRIND: Monsieur Adi feat. A.M.E – “What’s Going On” (WaWa Bootleg Remix)
Acclaimed French DJ/producer Monsieur Adi drops his first solo single, “What’s Going On,” featuring shimmering vocals from Sierra-Leonean born, British teen songstress, A*M*E. This funky electronic disco-synth raver brilliantly samples Soul II Soul‘s dance classic, “Back to Life.” It its original form, the track is a yummy slice of electro-house, with big dramatic strings and pulsing beats. Transformed by WAWA, the track becomes an old Freemasons-style disco romp. LOVE THIS!
THE DAILY GRIND: Icona Pop – “All Night” (Wayne G & LFB Remix)
If you make just one purchase on iTunes this week, make it Icona Pop‘s full-length debut LP. Released last week, the album proves that the Swedish duo is more than just a one-hit wonder. Yes, we’ve all danced and partied to the group’s global smash single “I Love It” for more than a year — and it’s hard to imagine a more perfect piece of pop. What’s refreshing is that the album is full of impressive pop tracks beyond “I Love It” that are worthy of anthem status.
My favorites: (1) ”We Got The World” — a colorful ditty about embracing life, love and fun; (2) “Just Another Night” — a gorgeous and wistful breakup track; (3) “Girlfriend” — a Stargate-produced promo track that samples the late Tupac Shakur’s “Me and My Girlfriend”; and (4) “Then We Kiss” — a pop stunner that’s euphoric enough to remind any listener of the jittery feeling of a first kiss.
The group’s latest single, “All Night,” is a smashing pop thumper, with its constant churn of synth beats, swirling notes, twinkling keyboard and steady guitars. Remix masters Wayne G and Leo Frappier inject their own energy into the single, giving it enough pop power to to keep the party going all night. Watch the video edit of the Wayne G/LFB Remix below, then head over to iTunes and buy the album! You won’t regret it!
THE DAILY GRIND: Katy Perry – “Walking on Air”
Back to the 90’s! And, I’m not just referring to the first U.S. federal government shutdown in 17 years. Yesterday, pop queen Katy Perry released her second offering from ‘Prism’ — a stunning 90’s-inspired house track that finds Katy adopting the persona (and the faux-gospel inflection) of the great British club divas of yesteryear. It’s a ’80s-/early ’90s-style dance cut that CeCe Peniston or Technotronic might mistake for one of their own.
“Walking on Air” is one of two ‘Prism’ tracks Katy recorded in Stokholm and produced alongside Klas Ahlund, a Swedish songwriter and producer who has teamed with Ke$ha, Madonna, and most notably, former Katy Perry tour-mate Robyn (Ahlund co-wrote most of the Body Talk series).
‘Prism’ is due for release on October 22. In the meantime, give “Walking on Air” a spin below!

Former Pussycat Doll-turned-solo artist Jessica Sutta is back with a massive new club banger that’s set to heat up dance floors this Fall. “Lights Out” follows in the footsteps of her previous hit singles, including this year’s pop-ballad “Again“ and her Billboard #1 dance single, “Show Me.” Like its predecessors, “Lights Out” is an upbeat, euphoric dance floor romper with stadium-sized beats and soaring vocals from Jessica.
I’m very excited to share a sneak preview of the brand-new DJ Toy Armada & DJ GRIND Official Club Mix for “Lights Out,” coming soon to iTunes & Beatport from Citrusonic Recordings! As a long-time Jessica Sutta fan, it’s a HUGE honor to be part of this project, and I cannot wait to play this out at my events this Fall!
